Will was born on Lewa and has spent his life involved in tourism and conservation in the north of Kenya. Will started flying at a young age and was a Crop Duster pilot for many years. He held a commercial pilots license until recently, within the region of 10,000 hours of flying experience he now only fly’s privately but you will still find Will buzzing around Lewa in the beautiful Waco Bi-Plane or at the airstrip sharing his wealth of knowledge with the younger pilots in the team. His mission in starting Air Wilderness has been to facilitate the arrival of guests into the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy for the benefit of conservation and the improved comfort of guests.

Will Craig

Accountable Manager & Chairman
Darryl, originally from Swaziland and educated in South Africa, relocated to Kenya in 2011 and quickly felt at home in this vibrant region. He holds a Kenya Commercial Pilot’s License and has accumulated over 2,500 hours of bush flying experience. With more than a decade spent exploring Kenya and a lifetime traveling across Africa, Darryl possesses deep knowledge of local flying conditions, landscapes, cultures, and wildlife. Not only is he committed to providing safe, reliable service as a pilot—he also serves as an expert aerial guide, helping guests gain new insight and appreciation for the remarkable terrain beneath their wings.

Head of Operations & Chief Pilot
Florence’s passion for travel led her to build a fulfilling career in the travel industry. She began her journey with a company specializing in tailor-made holidays, where she developed expertise in itinerary design, client relations, and logistics coordination. To expand her knowledge, she gained valuable experience in aviation operations and safari logistics before moving to Air Wilderness. At Air Wilderness, Florence plays a pivotal role in managing flight enquiries, preparing quotations, overseeing bookings, coordinating flight plans, and ensuring seamless daily operations. Driven, organized, and deeply committed to exceptional service, she feels privileged to work in a field she loves alongside a team dedicated to creating remarkable travel experiences.

Florence Onano

Reservations Manager
With over 21 years of aviation experience and more than 7,500 flight hours, John Monte offers exceptional expertise as a line pilot, safety manager, and flight instructor. His diverse career includes charter operations, aerial surveying, and flight instruction, with seven years dedicated to instructing, nine years in aerial survey work, and five years providing charter services. As a licensed commercial pilot and certified flight instructor, John specializes in Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Quality Management Systems (QMS), ensuring operational excellence and compliance with regulatory standards. Renowned for his technical skills and leadership, John is committed to building a strong safety culture and consistently delivering reliable, high-quality aviation services.

John Monte

Training Captain & Head of Safety
Alexander is a Kenyan-born pilot who completed his flight training locally while holding diverse operational roles in the aviation industry. He has worked alongside organizations contracted by humanitarian agencies such as the WFP, ICRC, and MSF, with assignments that often led him to countries like Somalia and South Sudan. Driven by a love for exploration and adventure, Alexander is passionate about sharing his experiences in aviation with clients and colleagues, always striving to inspire others through his work and journeys.

Alexander Ndolo

Line Pilot
Sanad, originally from Libya, completed his studies in South Africa and holds a Commercial Pilot’s License along with advanced qualifications as an aircraft engineer. With more than 1,200 hours of bush flying experience, he joined Air Wilderness in 2023, expertly blending his technical skills with his love of aviation. Sanad’s travels across Africa have given him a broad understanding of the diverse landscapes, cultures, and flying challenges unique to the continent. He ensures every flight is safe and dependable, offering guests both expert piloting and the confidence of knowing their aircraft is maintained by someone deeply familiar with its workings.

Sanad Abuseen

Line Pilot
Amos, is from Kajiado County in southern Kenya, holds a Kenyan Commercial Pilot License and has logged over 3,500 flight hours. He started his aviation career as a flight instructor, teaching for more than six years before joining the Northern Rangelands Trust at Lewa in 2022 as a pilot dedicated to security and conservation operations. Amos later moved to Air Wilderness, where he serves as a line pilot and supports the flight operations team. With extensive experience navigating Kenya’s varied landscapes, Amos brings strong technical knowledge and operational leadership to every mission.

Amos Kibiwot

Line Pilot
Arthur is a Kenyan who grew up on ranches in and around Laikipia. He completed his flight training in the northwestern United States. His passion for aviation began while he was still at school, during an internship as a mechanic at an Aircraft Maintenance Organisation. Arthur joined Air Wilderness in early 2026 and now serves as a line pilot while also supporting the ground operations team. Deeply connected to Kenya, he is especially drawn to its most remote regions—and there is no better company than Air Wilderness to help him explore and share these wild places with guests.

Arthur Hewett

Line Pilot
Born near Lewa, Tim’s early involvement in conservation fostered a unique passion for aviation in wildlife protection. After college roles with NRT and Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, he earned his Private Pilot Licence and joined Air Wilderness, where he combines ground and flight operations. Tim is now pursuing a Commercial Pilot Licence to further support conservation and local communities from the skies.

Tim Barnabas

Manager Ground Operations
Chris is the Head of Quality at Air Wilderness, bringing over 15 years of expertise in aircraft engineering across various general aviation aircraft. He specializes in developing and managing Safety and Quality Management Systems that ensure full compliance with Kenya Civil Aviation Authority regulations. With a strong background in aircraft maintenance, engineering, and specialized equipment integration, Chris leads technical teams and oversees the development of regulatory manuals and audit processes that uphold the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.

Chris Odeny

Head of Quality
Juliet Mutiso serves as the Head of Administration and Finance at Air Wilderness, bringing more than 18 years of expertise in finance, administration and people management. As a Certified Public Accountant and skilled financial analyst, Juliet has driven financial strategy, compliance and risk management across multiple sectors. In addition to overseeing the company’s financial operations, she actively contributes to HR and administration by supporting recruitment, fostering staff development and cultivating a positive workplace culture. Juliet empowers every team member to lead confidently and ensures that Air Wilderness remains both financially robust and consistently delivers outstanding service through its people-focused approach.

Alex is a conscientious accountant and patriotic Kenyan who joined Air Wilderness in June 2021. With a passion for staying current on industry developments, Alex ensures the company’s financial records are meticulously maintained and fully compliant with all regulatory requirements. His keen attention to detail and strong sense of responsibility create a foundation of trust and reliability throughout the organization. Alex’s professionalism and commitment inspire the Air Wilderness team as he helps guide the company’s growth with resilience and precision.

Andrew is a dedicated Kenyan aviation professional with a strong passion for flight operations and dispatch. Known for his professionalism and commitment to excellence, he has built a solid foundation in aviation operations, coordination, and operational planning. His experience in the aviation industry showcases strong leadership, sound decision‑making, and the ability to perform efficiently in fast‑paced operational environments while maintaining high standards of safety and reliability. Andrew Kimanzi

Flight Operations
Newton is a Flight Operations Specialist and graduate of the East African School of Aviation, with extensive experience supporting bush flying operations across East Africa. He is passionate about aviation, safety, and continual professional growth, and has a deep appreciation for the precision and adaptability required in safari flying environments. Newton is dedicated to ensuring safe, efficient operations while actively strengthening the high standards and service culture of Air Wilderness.
